By using the highest quality synthetic base oils, AMSOIL Signature Series Max-Duty is resistant to oxidation and harmful effects of soot contaminants. The oil is further enriched with a detergent package preventing large soot particles from forming and lodging in the engine. The lower volatility helps it retain its viscosity at high temperatures, providing maximum engine protection and performance.

AMSOIL Signature Series Max-Duty synthetic motor oil is more resistant to heat dissipation than competitive oils. Unlike conventional oils, AMSOIL Signature Series DZF does not contain wax, and maintains an oil film in sub-zero temperatures for easier starting, improved oil flow and reduced wear. The AMSOIL 0W-40 (DZF) oil has a wide viscosity range, improving starting ability over a wide temperature range.

AMSOIL Signature Series Max-Duty has low volatility, reducing oil consumption during operation and transferring less oil to the combustion chamber. It provides 76 percent less oil consumption than required by the API CK-4 standard in the Caterpillar-1N oil consumption test.

The AMSOIL Signature Series Max-Duty synthetic engine oil is compatible with other conventional and synthetic engine oils. However, mixing AMSOIL with other oils will shorten oil life and reduce operating benefits.

Oil Change/Oil Life:

On-highway trucks and construction machinery: three times the manufacturer's recommended service life, no more than 100,000 km/600 hours or one year, whichever comes first.
Turbocharged trucks: twice the manufacturer's recommended interval, not more than 40,000 km or one year, whichever comes first
Oil changes for gasoline engines
Twice the manufacturer's recommended interval, not more than 25,000 km or one year, whichever comes first.

Intervals may be further extended based on oil test results.

Note: Extended oil change intervals are not recommended for engines that have been modified to increase horsepower and torque, and for powertrains that use biofuels containing more than 10 percent ethanol or more than 15 percent biodiesel (B15), and for Caterpillar 2017-2019 * C13 and C15 vehicles used on the road. The use of extended drain intervals other than those recommended by the manufacturer is only possible using individual oil sample tests.

Note:
For Dodge **, Ford ** and GM *, which use DZF, extended drain intervals are also not recommended.
