AMSOIL 5W30 Max-Duty Signature Series Diesel Oil DHD provides maximum wear protection 6 times better than that required by the Detroit Diesel DD13 test for DFS 93K222 specifications. Advanced synthetic technology provides excellent viscosity control and excellent temperature, minimizing oil consumption. This oil provides maximum protection for the engine.

By using the highest quality synthetic base oils, AMSOIL Signature Series Max-Duty is naturally resistant to oxidation and the damaging effects of soot contamination. This, together with enriched detergents/dispersant additives, keeps the soot particles independently suspended, preventing the formation of larger wear particles. The viscosity increases and the use of soot is minimized. The lower volatility also helps the Signature Max-Duty series retain its viscosity at high temperatures, providing maximum engine protection and performance.

AMSOIL Signature Series Max-Duty synthetic motor oil is more resistant to heat dissipation than competing oils. Unlike conventional AMSOIL Signature Series DHD oils, it maintains the oil film at sub-zero temperatures for easy starting, improves oil flow and reduces wear. AMSOIL 5W-30 (DHD) oil has a wide viscosity range, so it improves the ability to start in a wide range of temperatures.

AMSOIL Signature Series Max-Duty features low variability, reducing oil consumption during operation and transferring less oil to the combustion chamber. Provides 76 percent lower oil consumption than the API CK-4 standard in the Caterpillar-1N Oil Consumption Test.

AMSOIL Signature Series Max-Duty synthetic motor oil is compatible with other conventional and synthetic motor oils. However, mixing AMSOIL oils with other oils will shorten the life of the oil and reduce the operating benefits.

Oil change / service life:

On-road trucks and construction machinery: three times longer than recommended by the manufacturer, no more than 100,000 km/600 hours or one year, whichever comes first.
Turbocharged trucks: twice as long as the manufacturer's recommended period, no more than 40,000 km or one year, whichever comes first
Oil change in gasoline engines
Twice the period recommended by the manufacturer, no more than 25,000 km or one year, whichever comes first.

The intervals can be further extended based on the results of the oil tests.

Note: It is not recommended to extend the oil change intervals for engines that have been modified to increase power and torque, and for propulsion systems that use biofuels containing more than 10 percent ethanol or more than 15 percent biodiesel (B15), and for Caterpillar 2017-2019* C13 and C15 on-road vehicles. The use of extended drain intervals other than those recommended by the manufacturer is possible only with the use of individual tests of oil samples.

Remark:
For Dodge**, Ford** and GM*, which use DHD, it is also not recommended to extend the drain intervals.
