Destiny:

In the past, many machines were driven by mechanisms consisting of multi-stage gears, cams and levers, which became more complex by the day as the demand for their automation increased. This eventually led to a much greater use of the basic principles of hydraulic systems. Hydraulic systems place much stricter demands on oil than other fluid circulation systems, and it is for this reason that hydraulic fluid must meet the following requirements:
- Hydraulic oils must have corrosion inhibitors to reduce contaminants that could act as agents accelerating material wear or causing oil oxidation.
- The viscosity coefficient of the oil must be high enough so that the density of the oil does not change with the change in temperature.
- It must contain a factor that prevents foam formation. The oil mixed with air becomes foamy, which causes the smooth transmission to be lost.
- The oil must also have features that reduce wear on friction parts in order to prevent the formation of free metal particles, which in turn increase wear on parts in the system.
