KLEEN-FLO Ice Melter works much faster than salt. It is enough for the ambient humidity to be 40% for Ice Melter to turn into a thawing solution. Because Ice Melter is hygroscopic, it turns into an ice-melting solution even at very low temperatures with very dry and freezing air. Unlike salts, Ice Merter does not recrystallize from the solution, thus leaving no residue on footwear, pavements and other surfaces.
