Application
Grouting/sealing:
- Apply masking tape on both sides of the adhesive surface to ensure even
edges. - Apply a small amount of silicone and smooth with a spatula soaked in water with a small amount of
amount of soap. - Remove the masking tapes after about 10 minutes.
Mounting/joining:
- Apply silicone in spots ( at intervals of 2-3 cm) on one of the surfaces to be joined surfaces.
- Tighten the joined parts.
o Moisture in the air is needed to cure the silicone, so do not
therefore do not press too tightly on the parts to be bondedso as to leave space
w for air flow between the silicone. - Leave for 24 hours for the joint to gain full strength.
Tips:
- W ensure adequate ventilation during bonding operations.
- When gluing objects to vertical surfaces, prepare in advance an appropriate length supports to immobilize the object for the drying time of the silicone (24 hours).
- Recommended joint size [mm] (width x depth): 4-8 x 6; 10-12 x 8; 14-16 x 10; 18-20x 12; 22-24 x 14. The minimum joint width is 4mm, and the maximum is 25mm.
- Do not use for connectionsjoints with Teflon, PP, PE.
- Do not use for PVC, concrete, plaster, marble, acrylic, corrosion-sensitive metals: lead, zinc, copper, iron, and for sealing aquariums and for bonding mirrors.
- Avoid contact with secondary sealing in glass windows insulating glass units, as well as with glass laminated (especially applies to edge contact).
- Fresh dirt can be removed with soapy water or extraction gasoline, while after cured with a knife or spatula.
- At temperatures above 120°C the silicone undergoes destaining.
- Do not wet the substrate or silicone layer with water.
